TalkingDot is free live chat software for websites, with Intercom-level features and no per-seat pricing. It gives a business one place to talk to its website visitors, leads and customers.

What you get

A messenger for any website. Install it with one script tag, match it to your brand and offer it in 15 languages. Visitors can send files and images, leave their email address when you are away and rate the conversation when it ends.
A shared inbox for unlimited teammates. Assign conversations, work in teams, leave internal notes with @mentions, use saved replies, tags and snooze, and see new messages in real time.
Chatbots and automation. Build chatbot flows, let the answer bot suggest help articles, route conversations with rules and send automatic replies outside office hours.
A help center. Publish articles on a public, search-friendly help site that visitors can also search from inside the messenger.
Proactive messages. Start conversations based on the page, time on page, number of visits, country, device or language.
Reports. Follow conversations, first-response and resolution times, satisfaction ratings, busiest hours and teammate activity, and export them as CSV.
API and webhooks. Connect your own systems with a REST API and signed webhooks, and get notified in Slack, Discord or Telegram.

Why it is free

Talking to your customers should not cost more every time you add a teammate. TalkingDot has no seat pricing, no paid tiers, no trial and no credit card at sign-up. Invite as many teammates and handle as many conversations as you need.

Our commitment is simple: the features we list today stay free. We will not move them behind a paywall later.

To keep a free service fair and sustainable for everyone, we apply a few fair-use limits. The size of each attachment and the total file storage per workspace are capped, and we may limit how many workspaces or teammates a single account can create. These limits are there to prevent abuse, not to push you towards an upgrade.

Our principles

Privacy-friendly by default. The messenger sets no cookies on your website. Each workspace decides whether visitor IP addresses are stored in full, truncated or not at all, and approximate location is worked out on our own server rather than by a third-party lookup service.
Your data stays yours. Export your contacts, export or erase an individual contact when someone asks, and have closed conversations deleted automatically after a period you choose.
Simple technology. TalkingDot is a plain PHP and MySQL application. It runs on ordinary web hosting and delivers messages in real time without websockets or special infrastructure.
Open about how it works. We publish our security practices, subprocessors and a plain-English privacy policy.
